The function of the first narrator “I” in the third part of the text is important for readers. The first narrator “I” introduces the narration of Karain with the explanation of Karain’s motive for narration. Karain narrates his experience in the form of his recollection. Karain shows readers the process of the growth of illusion.\nKarain’s illusion is a psychological phenomenon.
