抄録	The purpose of this study was to investigate the guidance for a student’s future career path in a commercial high school, particularly, present conditions and issues were focused. Japan has faced formidable social issues, for example, an aging society with low birthrate, drastic transformation of industry structures. In the milieu, the curriculum of high school education is requested to be adapted to the social changes and actually the way of guiding students for their career paths has been practically changed as well. In this study, we investigated summaries and issues of the guidance in commercial high school through reviewing official documents published by the nation and the prefecture (Shizuoka). Specifically we investigated important topics, for example, the backgrounds of guidance for students’career paths, the study course of “Commerce”, and the use of the instruction book.
